MontRoc launches online shop for its outdoor performance footwear & clothing
MontRoc has launched its outdoor performance footwear & clothing business together with a transactional website at http://www.montroc.co.uk. The company’s e-commerce website has been designed and developed by Screen Pages, the e-commerce services company, using Magento.
MontRoc presents a selection of premium brands with a fast and light focus covering a variety of multi sport activities, from hi adrenaline to a more gentle pace. Targeting outdoor enthusiasts ranging from mountain athletes, weekend warriors or first time hikers, MontRoc offers a wide of range of products by world class brands, such as Marmot, adidas, Montane, Lowa and La Sportiva, with Salomon, Asolo, Eider and Jack Wolfskin coming soon. Popular departments include jackets, trousers, base layers, footwear, equipment and accessories.
MontRoc is a member of the Mileta Sports Group, a family owned and run business for over 50 years.
Technically, Screen Pages has exploited Magento’s multi-store facility to deliver a new brand and website in a fraction of the normal cost and time, using the Magento system and infrastructure already in place for Mileta with Tog 24.
The new website’s capabilities – accessed now at http://www.montroc.com – include:
- Clean, attractive website design
- Large, high-quality photography (with zooms)
- Filtered search (by technology, activity, colour, price etc)
- Detailed technical information
- Social media integration (Facebook and Twitter)
- Free delivery
- Single page checkout with online card authorisation via Sagepay
- Implemented on popular Magento platform
- Full content management via Magento Administration Panel
David Hill, Mont Roc director, said: “MontRoc is an innovative start-up in an exciting niche with a tremendous opportunity on the Internet. We commissioned Screen Pages to help with this initiative because of its long-standing good relationship with Mileta via Tog24 and the high quality of support and service it has received since 2005.”
Roger Willcocks, director of Screen Pages, said: “We are excited about MontRoc – we know the outdoor clothing sector well and believe that MontRoc’s focus and service will be compelling in that market. We have enjoyed working with its team to design and evolve a new concept and brand, as well as an attractive, functionally rich website.”
