Bradshaws selects Screen Pages to create multi-branded e-commerce websites

Bradshaws Direct, home shopping supplier of greenhouse, water gardening products and tarpaulins, has chosen Screen Pages to design, create, host and market new transactional websites for its three core brands: Bradshaws Direct, Two Wests & Elliott and Tarpaulins Direct.

Tarpaulins Direct is the first site to be up and running at www.tarpaulinsdirect.co.uk: Bradshaws Direct and Two Wests will be launched early next year. All three sites are being delivered using Screen Pages’ internet mail order solution, Screen Commerce.
Key goals for the new websites include:

* Create a common platform, technology and infrastructure across the three brands (5,000 products in all) using a “white labelled” approach, in order to improve consistency, manageability and control over each site’s content
* Integrate order processing and stock availability with Options mail order package;
* Ensure best-practice search engine optimisation is deployed in order to increase visitors from search engines;
* Equip each site with important sales and marketing tools for campaigns (emails, sales, promotions, cross-sells etc) to increase order values;
* Set up online customer accounts and profiles to recognise returning customers and improve customer service;

David Fordham, managing director of Bradshaws, said: “The Internet is fast expanding as a sales channel for us. We chose Screen Pages because of its experience in the mail order sector, its understanding of our longer term strategy and IT plans. We attended a Screen Pages seminar on search engines and realised that we could be getting a lot more traffic cost-effectively directly through the Internet.”

Roger Willcocks, managing director of Screen Pages said: "We’re very pleased to be working with Bradshaws and its various companies: its management has ambitious plans to develop its markets and the Internet is at the forefront of that initiative. The vision of creating an e-commerce platform to span its three brands, a disparate and wide product range with seamless integration to its mail order system is clear and strong and an important step towards achieving Bradshaws’ growth targets.”
