Crew Clothing to boost online sales with new e-commerce website by Screen Pages

Crew Clothing, the fast-growing retailer of active/outdoor clothing, has chosen Screen Pages to drive its sales online with a new transactional website.
Crew has been enjoying considerable growth recently and is planning to expand sales through its direct arm. Direct sales have increased 65% over the Christmas 2005 period and the company is targeting a 50% growth through the internet in 2006. Over 60% of its direct sales are now transacted via the Internet.
The new website, which replaces Crew’s existing site, www.crewclothing.co.uk, has been delivered using Screen Pages’ online retail platform, Screen Commerce.
Key goals for the new website include:
* Provide a platform which can support dramatically increased sales over the next three years
* Improve overall branding, navigation, search, usability and layout for a better customer experience;
* Incorporate a full range of Internet marketing strategies, including search engine marketing, pay-per-click advertising and affiliate marketing;
* Improve overall site manageability and maintainability
Screen Pages has a strong track record in delivering significant increases in online sales for clothing companies including Fat Face, Isabella Oliver, White Stuff, Joules Clothing and Savile Row. Emphasis is placed on customer acquisition, content and sales strategies for improving conversion ratios and finally, promotional and site design/usability tools to increase basket values. Client case studies show that investment in Screen Pages’ services can be paid back with interest in a few months.
James Pascoe, operations director of Crew Clothing, said: "The Internet has emerged as a very strong sales channel for us and our ambitions are running high. It is vital that we deploy a scaleable platform that enables us to deliver an exceptional customer experience that can handle all the sales and marketing effort we’re going to put behind it. We trust that Screen Pages’ track record in working with niche clothing brands will prove a real asset to us.”
Roger Willcocks, managing director of Screen Pages said: "We’re thrilled to be working with the team at Crew. It’s a great brand with a clear, strong vision and the company has exciting plans ahead. We’re confident that we can deliver the infrastructure to support Crew’s growth.”
