Luxury leather goods retailer Pickett launches new e-commerce website

Pickett, luxury leather goods retailer, has launched a new e-commerce website designed to boost site traffic, increase sales and encourage repeat spend. The fully transactional e-commerce website has been planned, built and hosted by Screen Pages, the e-commerce retail specialist.

Pickett was launched in 1988 by Trevor Pickett, selling a range of luxury leather goods, including luggage, attaché cases, handbags, purses and wallets and stud boxes. The business has grown to four shops selling a vast range of leather goods, quality woven scarves, pashminas, and semi-precious jewellery. The internet has evolved into a fast-growing, mature sales channel for luxury goods and accessories and Pickett is seeking to expand its online sales five-fold over the next few years.

The new website, at www.pickett.co.uk, has been delivered using Screen Pages’ online retail platform, Screen Commerce.
Key goals for the new website include:

* Promote and communicate Pickett and its luxury range of leather goods and accessories
* Offer a compelling online shopping experience of the Pickett range;
* Develop the internet as a channel for new customers (via search engines etc)
* Develop a full range of Internet marketing strategies, including search engine marketing, pay-per-click advertising and affiliate marketing;

Martina Reitbauer, marketing manager at Pickett, said: "We have seen enough to know that the Web is a great option for our existing and new customers wishing to purchase Pickett’s goods. Screen Pages have understood our brand, culture, people and processes and we are really excited to be working together.”

Roger Willcocks, managing director at Screen Pages, said: "Pickett has a high profile brand in a strong niche market. We are delighted to be working with Pickett on building its business online.”
