Typhoon cooks up new online store with Pindar

Typhoon, the stylish kitchen and cookware company, has re-vamped its online sales channel with a re-designed and upgraded website, at http://www.typhooneurope.com, designed and delivered by Pindar Graphics.(http://www.pindar.com/ecommerce).

Typhoon is widely recognised as a brand for stylish, innovative and unique products for the kitchen and home. Typhoon products are consistently shown on television cookery and lifestyle programmes and are featured extensively in the quality press. The Typhoon brand is supplied to the cream of retailers including leading department stores, gift and cook shops throughout the world.

Popular ranges include its retro, Italian, Asian and designer Capsule cooking utensils and tableware, with products such as fondues, woks, griddles, scales for cooking and bins, cutlery, cooking utensils and mugs within kitchenware more broadly.

The site features a broad range of Christmas gifts and is offering free delivery on all orders over £40. The re-launch is being supported by online advertising and email marketing.

The re-launched website new branding – clean, fresh and simple – with a much improved emphasis on lifestyle imagery and quality photography as well as many “best practice” online retailing techniques. These include:

• New products including highly popular vintage and retro ranges
• Improved navigation and cross-sells
• New sections for clearance sales and best sellers
• Streamlined checkout process

“This re-launch is incredibly important to us,” said Chris Stevens, Typhoon’s managing director. “Our customers are increasingly researching and purchasing our products on the Internet and it was important to offer them a branded shopping experience, showcasing all our products. We are very pleased to be working with Pindar on our re-launch: it has a great mix of marketing, creative and technical skills.”
