Bookings open for e-commerce analytics seminar on 3rd June

.

Pindar Graphics has announced details of its forthcoming E-commerce Analytics Seminar, a conference for online retailers wishing to measure and manage their online sales performance more effectively.

Designed to help them understand the performance of e-commerce activities using Google Analytics in the fast moving online retail and e-commerce world, the seminar will be held at the Institute of Directors on 3rd June 2008, in London SW1Y 5ED.

As a free tool, Google Analytics has been widely adopted, but most online retailers are not deriving real benefit from it. This seminar will serve up more than 20 key performance indicators, how to find and track them in Google Analytics and how to use them to drive e-commerce activity.

In a report published by the Web Analytics Association and Web Analytics Demystified in April 2007, more than four fifths of respondents said the area was “poorly understood” by their organisations. Separate research, by Aberdeen Group and Site Intelligence, found that companies that invested in analytics platforms with the support of senior management had “greater success in executing on their corporate goals”. But it found that 72% of companies had no framework for interpreting web analytics data in the context of their own business.

This event is for business owners and marketeers responsible for an e-commerce website’s selling performance and will help delegates:

• Understand why e-commerce analytics is critical
• Develop an understanding of what the important metrics are and how to find/track them in Google Analytics
• Acquire real value out of Google Analytics in an online retailing context
• Establish a meaningful framework for analysing an online shop’s performance
• Ascertain tools for management reporting
• Gain quantifiable insight into optimising online presence

Roger Willcocks, Director of Pindar Graphics, said: “Many retailers lack a framework for measuring and planning their online sales performance –at the same time, they dabble with Google Analytics which is an invaluable, free tool to analyse website activity.

“This seminar will give online retailers a meaningful framework for analysing retail performance using Google Analytics – a crucial first step to online retailing success.”
