You may have read of a security flaw in the encryption standard SSL v3.0 (dubbed “Poodle”), which could expose e-commerce websites to hacking.

Now that the flaw is in the public domain, all servers running SSL v3.0 are in theory susceptible to hacking attempts
There are two potential complications: it could affect IE6 browsers on secure pages (e.g. the checkout) and visitors with Windows XP who have not kept the software up-to-date (i.e. installed the latest updates from Microsoft) will similarly not be able to access these pages either.
Screen Pages IT team will be disabling SSL v3.0 on your server from Monday 20th October.
