HJ Socks has launched its online store to promote and increase sales of its sock brands with a full-function e-commerce website designed and developed by Screen Pages, one of the UK’s leading Magento e-commerce agencies. The site can be visited at http://www.hj.co.uk
Founded in 1882, HJ Socks is now the leading independent sock maker in the UK. The company has sold over 20 million pairs worldwide. Its popular ranges include collaborations with Peter Jones (from Dragon’s Den) and Ben Fogle the TV presenter, writer and adventurer. In 2001 the acquisition of Pantherella, producers of fine English socks for over 70 years, allowed us to become the leading UK branded sock manufacturer. In In 2011, the company’s quality was recognized with a quality mark from the Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists.
The brief for the new website – developed on Magento– included:
- Clean, simple design
- Detailed product photography & zooms
- Filtered navigation (price, colour, size, yarn etc)
- Cross-sells and alternatives
- Free delivery and free returns
- Integration with Sagepay for payment processing
